Developed by the Carpet Institute of Australia, it provides transparent ingredient disclosure with details of the human and environmental health impacts throughout the product lifecycle.
The ECS HPD declaration is aligned with the Open HPD Standard.
ECS HPDs are prepared by manufacturers and assessed against the Open HPD Standard by the ACCS panel.
Purpose
Provides health information on ingredients to 0.1% (1000 ppm) across the product lifecycle. This disclosure is intended to identify potential health risks for further investigation and is not a complete assessment of all possible health impacts.

Managed by the Carpet Institute of Australia, with the ACCS panel verifying labels.

Health impacts use the Global Harmonised Scheme (GHS) as derived from product information.

A Health Product Declaration (HPD) is a standardised document that provides essential information about the chemical content
of the product. The HPD will confirm risks of potential health impacts on bodily functions of the skin, eye, oral and lung, as well as
